Meet Carter
Carter, as he is known, was born, raised, and resides in Denver, Colorado. A graduate of Denver East High School’s Class of 2011, he chose an unconventional path that blends operational leadership, cybersecurity expertise, and creative media.
He began his career at Denver International Airport in an entry-level ground support role, quickly rising to Sr. Operations Manager in Tower Operations for a major airline. In this role, he oversaw complex hub operations, managing over 180 daily flights, 35,000 passengers, 12 departments, and 1,200 employees. After a company layoff, he pursued law enforcement, joining a university campus police department where he was selected to build and lead a 24/7 Communications Center from the ground up, later serving on command staff as the Departments Operations Director.
Carter’s transition into cybersecurity began during the pandemic, sparked by hands-on problem-solving that quickly evolved into a deep technical pursuit. Within months, he joined Pax8, where he now serves as a Sr. Solutions Engineer leading initiatives across identity, network, and endpoint security for a global ecosystem of managed service providers.
As Founder and CEO of Nomaden, a Colorado-based firm with both technology and multimedia divisions, Carter advises organizations on building identity-centric security and business architectures designed to mitigate modern threats. His expertise spans Network, Identity, Cloud, and Endpoint Security, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Business Continuity, Zero Trust, and Governance, Risk & Compliance.
Through Nomaden Studios, the multimedia arm of the business, Carter brings the same level of precision and intention into still photography and multimedia content creation. Focused on lifestyle, corporate, nature and cinematic imagery, the studio delivers refined media work that captures authentic energy and narrative, extending his commitment to craftsmanship beyond technology.
Driven by his mission to “Secure All of Our Futures, Together,” Carter shares insights on cybersecurity, risk reduction, and digital resilience through his content, helping both technical professionals and business leaders stay ahead of evolving threats while looking their best with the media that fits their vision.
